April Herb Garden

Steve rented a garden plot for the year and has convinced some friends to come help in the garden.

So far we have cabbage, lettuce, an onion, chives, some horseradish leftover from past gardeners, lavender, parsley, sage, rosemary, and time.

In the greenhouse, but not yet in the garden, are egg plant, tomatoes, peppers and beans.

I hear there will be some planting and weeding done today!

I like ulitmate frisbee

but it has injury potential. Not as high as rugby. But wednesday night I managed to turn my ankle. It seems to be healing well but looks ugly. I made pictures for you! The combination of nasty bruise and not much loss of function speaks well for the first aid regime of ice and a good night's sleep. I have been wrapping it, but only during the day. I didn't take a picture of the other foot for comparison, but the one in the picture is swollen.

Day of Strange Cars

Here is my dream car when I was 12. The paint job that is, not the model.
















A second interesting car for the day is the burned out car at the Tulpehocken train station in Germantown. I don't know the story behind it but the car has been there for about a week.

Tulpehocken means "land of the turtles" according to the Tulpehocken Settlement Historical Society, located in Womelsdorf, PA. (This is a different Tulpehocken, not near the Tulpehocken train station).

If you are on the train, listen to the conductors announce the Tulpehocken train station as: Tupahocken, Tup, Top Hahken or Tulpelhocken.
