Keeping an Eye on Spring

Just so you know. Spring is still happening. Here is proof from my bike ramble to Ultimate Frisbee today.

Tuesday's Bike Ramble

Tuesday I stayed home from work and went for an adventure on my bicycle. Here is a picture of flowers and construction equipment near the art museum. I took it on my bike ramble.

I did some useful things, like got my tires pumped up and my seat adjusted to the proper height. I also bought a tire pump and a helmet and picked up my renewed driver's license with a new picture that is not as nice as my old one. Then I met some friends at Tattooed Mom's for Taco Tuesdays. Annie tried on the new helmet.

Running in the Wissahickon Park

Shadow and I joined many other people and dogs (and even people on bikes with dogs) on the trails by the Wissahickon today.

Friend from CA

Amanda Baber was in town for a conference this week. We went out Wednesday night and also managed dinner (at the White Dog! tasty) on Thursday. She had a free form raviolo. Raviolo is the singular of ravioli (we had to ask the waiter). I had salmon with mushrooms, chard and some other tasty veg. Hooray for omega-3s and mercury! Unfortunately I did not manage to snap a photo of the two of us and our fanciful wander through Philadelphia. She's been working for ICANN, the organization that assigns ip addresses. She describes her job as "grammar checker in a language I don't understand." Her current plan is to enjoy the travel perks of her job, save some money and take a year off to work on her writing. Her current job pays better than her previous job watching movies for a company that was funded by an unethical investor and ultimately collapsed because of that.

Caught!

Dog and Cat! Snuggling!

Enjoying a rainy Saturday

The dog is generally not a fan of thunder but he and the cat shared the bed for some not-touching companionship durring the rainstorm. True to form, they slid closer together after an hour or so and were touching but by the time I was set up to take the picture they had separated.
