Friend from CA

Amanda Baber was in town for a conference this week. We went out Wednesday night and also managed dinner (at the White Dog! tasty) on Thursday. She had a free form raviolo. Raviolo is the singular of ravioli (we had to ask the waiter). I had salmon with mushrooms, chard and some other tasty veg. Hooray for omega-3s and mercury! Unfortunately I did not manage to snap a photo of the two of us and our fanciful wander through Philadelphia. She's been working for ICANN, the organization that assigns ip addresses. She describes her job as "grammar checker in a language I don't understand." Her current plan is to enjoy the travel perks of her job, save some money and take a year off to work on her writing. Her current job pays better than her previous job watching movies for a company that was funded by an unethical investor and ultimately collapsed because of that.
